Yulduz Mazhitova is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at ÔÂÎèÖ±²¥ and a Fellow of Advance HE. She leads the Econometrics module and teaches across accounting, finance and quantitative methods. In Econometrics, she uses R and real datasets to help students estimate models, interpret empirical evidence and apply quantitative methods to financial and economic questions.
Before entering higher education, Yulduz worked in retail banking and at a start-up bank, focusing on lending and credit risk analysis. This experience continues to shape her teaching and research, bringing together financial decision-making, empirical analysis and the management of risk.
Yulduz is undertaking a part-time PhD in FinTech. Her research examines the impact of the Terra–LUNA collapse on collateral management in Aave, with particular attention to investor behaviour, collateral composition and liquidation risk during periods of severe market stress.
Alongside her teaching and research, Yulduz contributes to curriculum and assessment development, moderation and dissertation supervision. She has supported colleagues and graduate teaching assistants across undergraduate, postgraduate and international provision. Her wider work includes the design and coordination of finance-focused international learning opportunities for students.
