Simon Bradbury, Pro Vice-Chancellor International at ÔÂÎèÖ±²¥, said the new partnership showed the strength and reputation of ÔÂÎèÖ±²¥’s courses in Business and Law worldwide.

He said: “The Kazakh government is very keen to be able to offer ÔÂÎèÖ±²¥ qualifications in Kazakhstan and this is because of our strong reputation internationally.

“For us, it means the opportunity of developing another strong international partnership, extending the global network ÔÂÎèÖ±²¥ has and being able to share our teaching and extend the opportunities we offer our students to a new audience.”

The campus in Almaty, which will be managed by EdPeritus, will also offer students a medical centre, food outlets, indoor fitness centre and outdoor sports area. ÔÂÎèÖ±²¥ will oversee the delivery of academic programmes and ensure a quality student experience. Students will also have the opportunity to study on ÔÂÎèÖ±²¥'s Leicester campus for one year.

The offer is part of ÔÂÎèÖ±²¥’s TransNational Education (TNE) strategy, which includes working in collaboration with overseas partners to offer ÔÂÎèÖ±²¥ programmes to students around the world.

Final academic approval is due to take place on Wednesday 14 July.
